Laura Murray

Vocals and Piano

Originally from Paisley, Scotland, Laura has been singing for as long as they can remember and began playing piano during high school. A lifelong performer and songwriter, music has always been at the heart of Laura’s journey—whether on stage, in the studio, or in the classroom.

From ages 4 to 21, Laura trained at PACE Youth Theatre, where a love for theatre and musical performance truly flourished. During that time, Laura took part in countless productions—including Sister Act, Les Misérables, and Moulin Rouge—and even had the honor of performing at the National Theatre in London. These formative years, guided by inspiring mentors, helped shape not only Laura’s artistry but also a passion for sharing music with others.

After high school, Laura pursued a Commercial Music degree at the University of the West of Scotland in Ayr, where she studied under industry professionals like David Scott, Jim Prime, Stu and Becci Wallace. Immersed in songwriting, performance, and collaboration, Laura thrived in band settings, even performing alongside Italian musicians in Bari and Rome. This experience deepened both their songwriting craft and their confidence as an artist.

Alongside teaching, Laura is an active performer, bringing live music to weddings, gigs, and events across Scotland and now New England, USA. With a love for musical theatre, contemporary music, and original songwriting, they continue to grow both as an artist and educator.

In 2021, while awaiting her move to the United States, Laura began teaching voice and piano at Keith’s Music House via Zoom. By 2022, they relocated to Massachusetts, where Keith and the KMH community provided a welcoming space to thrive as both a teacher and musician.

Today, Laura teaches students as young as three years old through adulthood, with a belief that music has no age limit. Her teaching philosophy focuses on building confidence, creativity, and joy through music—helping students discover their unique voice and musical expression.

Laura says, “I wouldn’t change my job for the world. Sharing my love of music and watching students grow both musically and personally is the greatest reward.”
