Mia Boostrom: Piano and Voice
Mia Boostrom is a Southern Massachusetts native who started her music career at a very young when she began playing piano at the age of four. She was hooked; she loved everything about the music. By the age of 12 Mia was studying pop and classical voice with the Berklee School of Music alumni, Kim Newcomb. Through her middle school years, she participated in many musical productions throughout Massachusetts, including Jasmine in a production of Disney’s “Aladdin”, and Dorothy in the classic “Wizard of Oz”. Her classical training also helped Mia land roles in her high school musicals such as Millie in “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and Eva Paron in “Evita”. Although Mia loved theater and performing in musicals her true passion was songwriting and establishing her own name as a Musician.
At the age of fifteen Mia was offered the opportunity to perform on the National Stage of the hit tv show, America’s Got Talent. She skyrocketed to the top 20 of the competition performing for celebrity judges, Piers Morgan, Sharon Osborne and David Hasselhoff as well as celebrity producer, Simon Cowell. After the show wrapped up Mia was offered a chance to record an EP with Josh Groban and David Foster’s producer, Rich Spillberg. Her album was released shortly after the show aired. Recording helped her land an opportunity to perform with “Hit Man” David Foster on his national tour. Mia sang along side many internationally famous acts.
Currently Mia is working full time for a very popular special events entertainment company, Ripcord and performs weekly in the Boston Area. With such a love for music she couldn’t picture her life any other way. She is thrilled to also be teaching at Keith's Music House.
