Keith Lewis (Owner/Founder)

Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Upright Bass

Keith is a native of Southborough, MA, where he started his music education. At the age of five, he began taking bass and upright bass guitar lessons. He received the MVP award from the International Association of Jazz Educators. He graduated from Dean College with a degree in Music Performance. By age 17, he was opening for bands including The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Spin Doctors. He was a member of the Boston-based band, Central Basement, which earned the title of Kiss 108’s house band. Central Basement made it onto Billy Costa’s Top 30 Countdown with their original song, “Turn.” Keith has also performed with several well-known artists including Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker and Avril Lavigne.

Keith’s passion is writing and recording. He has recorded with members of The Foo Fighters and Wallflowers. He has also recorded numerous songs and albums with multi-platinum record producers including John Ryan (Styx and Vince Gill). He has teamed up with Mia Boostrom (America’s Got Talent) and Josh Logan (NBC’s The Voice and Rockstar Super Nova) to write, produce, record, and perform. He worked with multi-platinum record producer Anthony Resta (Elton John, Duran Duran, Collective Soul, Twilight Soundtracks) to write and record Josh Logan’s latest EP, titled “Good Times.” Keith still performs locally with bands including Jimmy’s Down, Three Way, and Craving Lucy. In 2013, he joined The Josh Logan Band, which gives him the opportunity to perform across the globe.

Alright, enough about me in the third person! I’ve been teaching guitar, bass, upright bass, and music theory for over 20 years. My teaching experience has taught me the importance of treating each student as an individual and modifying my teaching style based on a student’s needs and capabilities. I believe that if a student can’t learn in the way a teacher teaches, then the teacher must teach in a way the student can learn. I’ve worked extremely hard practicing to achieve a high level of skill playing and performing, but the primary reason I began playing, performing, and teaching music is that it is so much FUN. I have been beyond fortunate to be able to transform my passion into a career, and I hope to use my knowledge and experience to help and teach others.
